Canelake, Audrey of Minneapolis, aged 89, passed on to our Lord Sept 9, 2019. Preceded in death by immigrant parents from Greece Thomas and Stella Canelake and foster-brother Louis Govatos (Irene). Survived by loving sisters Virginia Canelake and Tina (Dennis) Houck, grateful nephews Greg (Tina) Houck & Fr. Jason (Alexandra) Houck, affectionate great nephews and nieces: Niko, Aleka, Demi, Lydia, Paul, Silas, Philip, and Sarah Houck, and other relatives. Audrey served our city for 42 years as a librarian in the Minneapolis Public Library system in the children's, travel, and history departments. Her service is officially commended in the permanent records of the Minneapolis Public Library. She inspired family and others to love reading, history, and travel. Visitation: Thursday, Sept 12 4:00-7:00 at Washburn-McReavy Edina chapel with Trisagion service at 6:30. Funeral service: Friday, Sept 13 at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave S, Mpls, 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment: Lakewood Cemetery.
