Greenfield, James age 76, of Minnetonka, passed away on July 10, 2019 with family by his side. Jim was born on February 18, 1943 in Manhattan, NY to Carlton & Anne Greenfield. He graduated from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut with a master's degree in Russian history. He moved to Minnesota and in 1972, along with Larry Voehl, started and successfully operated Mill End Textiles for 42 years. Jim was very philanthropic within the Jewish community; donating to several charitable organizations. He absolutely delighted in seeing Jewish children learning Torah in Jewish Day School. He had an incredible love for the land of Israel. He was absolutely dedicated to studying Torah on a regular basis and encouraged all his friends to do the same. He was very devoted to family and friends; a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He had a very charismatic personality, loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He had a special place in his heart for disabled children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlton & Anne. Survived by his wife, Nannette; children, Jackie Stewart, Jennifer Greenfield, Andrew Mills (Stefanie), David Greenfield, Benjamin Greenfield; grandchildren, Cole Shavalier, Alex Stewart, Clover and Jason Mills; sister, Nina Stewart; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Funeral service 12:00 pm, FRIDAY, July 12, 2019, BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry Street W., St. Louis Park.
