Robert Andrew Hirt

Hirt, Robert Andrew 80, of Minneapolis, died peacefully on July 1, 2019 at Emerald Crest Memory Care in Victoria, Minnesota. Raised in Eden Prairie, Bob was the son of Tony and Eva Hirt. His high school basketball coach called him a scrapper. His family called him kind, gentle, and loving. His colleagues called him hard-working, dedicated, and fair. All true. He made people laugh and supported them when they needed it most. He often would say, "I'm just me." That was enough. That was more than enough. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Eva and his sister Joanne. He is survived by his partner of 26 years Diane Town-Linder, by his son Tony Hirt and wife Kaia, step-granddaughters Jasmine and Chloe, by his brother Richard Hirt and wife Gretchen, and by many other family members. His services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 3:00PM at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina. Visitation will begin at 2:00. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
