Howard C. Lerohl

Lerohl, Howard C. Passed away peacefully on September 18, 2018 at the age of 87. He was a truly remarkable man; a devoted husband; a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; and a faithful servant of God. He was a teacher with the Orono School District for 30 years and achieved the rank of Captain in the US Naval Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Emma; his older brother, Alden; sister-in-law, Ruth; and his beloved wife, Diane. Howard is survived by his younger brother, Robert; sister-in-law, Helen; his four children, Kristin, Kathryn, Kimberly, and Mark; their spouses, Laura Wilson, James Croyle, and Anna O'Connell; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior, MN on July 15, 2019. Visitation is at the church at 9:00am and the service is at 10:00am. Interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1 PM.
