Appelbaum, Phyllis of Minneapolis, passed away on June 24, 2019, the eve of her 95th birthday. Preceded in death by husband, Melvin Appelbaum; parents, Rose and Abe Margolis; siblings, Dorothy, Mynne, Sarah (Sam), Irv (Clara) and Jack; and brother-in-law, Ken Appelbaum. Survived by children, Jim (Rachel Greenblatt), Lori, and Gayle; grandchildren, Gabriel and Michal Appelbaum; sister-in-law, Sally Appelbaum; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Deep gratitude to Yaffa. Phyllis was known for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter, for her love of life and her sense of humor, for her wealth of lifelong friends of all ages, and for her extensive volunteerism. Funeral service 2 p.m. THURSDAY, June 27, 2019 at UNITED HEBREW BROTHER-HOOD CEMETERY CHAPEL, 2605 W. 70 1/2 St, Richfield.
