Flanders, Michael "Mike" Louis Age 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2019. Born in Cloquet, Minnesota, Mike spent his youth in Northern Minnesota, Green Bay, Wisconsin and Apple Valley, Minnesota and graduated from Apple Valley High in 1982. Following college at Mankato State, he enjoyed living and working in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis. Mike married Mary Ann Feiler in Doolin, Ireland in 2007, and they made their home together in Hopkins, Minnesota, welcoming their daughter, Erin Rochelle, in 2008. Mike pursued wide-ranging careers in the insurance, retail, and sports promotion fields. A lifelong Minnesota sports team fan, Mike achieved a rare trifecta, simultaneously working for the Minnesota Wild, United and Twins franchises. He was a quick- witted and gifted humorist, a passionate Vikings fan, an accomplished artist and musician, an avid outdoorsman, and loved Christmas and Classic Rock. Most of all, Mike was a loving husband, an adoring dad, and a loyal brother. Mike will be deeply missed by his devoted partner and wife of 20 years, Mary Ann; daughter, Erin; siblings, Stephen (Nava), Sarah (Charlie), Kathleen (Whitney) and John (Sheila); nieces, Josephine, Isabella, and Zoe, nephew, Ethan; step-father, Warren (Vicki); father in-law, Larry; brothers-in-law, Bill (Kayleen) and Jim; uncle, Bob; aunts, Nancy and Jean; and many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Flanders and Patricia Flanders-Hall, mother in-law, Sandra Feiler, and step-mother, Deborah Flanders. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St. Patrick's Lane, Edina, Minnesota on Monday May 20, 2019 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis will follow the service. Memorials preferred to NUWAY or the Minnesota Recovery Connection.
