Stalheim, Marilyn Ann (Knutson) age 82 of Plymouth, MN died at home on May 3, 2019. Marilyn was born July 26, 1936 to Spencer and Mabel (Hagen) Knutson in Whitehall, WI. She is survived by daughters Minette Stalheim Johnson (Paul), Pamela Stalheim Lane (Barret), and Angela Stalheim; grandchildren Marta Johnson, Lars Johnson, Benjamin Lane and Daniel Lane, sister-in-law Ethel Jaarsma, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ardell, parents Spencer and Mabel, siblings Sylvia and Richard. Marilyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, relative and friend to people of all ages. She worked as a high school English teacher, librarian, college instructor and Christian Education director. Marilyn founded and directed the Westwood Early Childhood Center (WECC), where she encouraged, mentored, and inspired others to care for children as they explored God's gift of creation. She wanted the children to know they were beloved by God; she led them as they learned to fold their hands in prayer and lift their voices in praise. Memorial service will be at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Road, St. Louis Park, MN on Thursday, May 9 at 4:30 pm. Visitation is 3-4:30 pm. Memorials preferred to Westwood Lutheran.
