Blewett, James S. Passed peacefully on April 24, 2019 at age 87. Survived by wife Margot Blewett; his five daughters Jeanette Berg (Chuck), Susan Stuppnig (Tony), Lynn Blewett (Christian Franken), Mary MacRae (Lynn) and Ellen Elfallah (Mohamed); sister, Marda Gail Berndtson (Austin); Margot's children, Sheryl Rose (Phil), Tom Venable (Ginger) and Lisa Venable (Wayne Swanson); 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Blewett (nee Neerland) and parents, Stanley and Elva Blewett (nee Engstrom). Jim graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949 and earned a degree in Business Economics from the University of Minnesota. He was a proud Marine. He worked for GTA (Harvest States) for 43 years following in the footsteps of his father's twin, Clare Blewett. He started the GTA field office in Montevideo, MN and worked at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. He married Margot Venable in 1994 and enjoyed a new life of tennis, winters in Florida and Margot's children. He was an avid golfer and lover of sports. He was a gentle, kind man who will be deeply missed. Memorial service 11:00am Saturday April 27, at Washburn-McReavy, Edina Chapel, West 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100. One hour visitation before service, lunch following. Private Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Caring and Sharing Hands. Thank you to the angels at N.C.
