White, Nancy Metz Died peacefully Dec 10, 2018 in Minneapolis at the age of 84. Preceded in death by beloved husband of 50 years, Joseph Charles White. Survived by sisters Marilyn Metz (Larry Ozanne) and Shirley Powers, twin daughters Michele Beaulieux and Jacqueline White, and granddaughter Amy (Alyssa) Perez. Born in Madison, she graduated from UW-Madison with a BA in art education and moved to Milwaukee, where she later taught creative arts at Urban Day School. Originally a printmaker and pastel artist, she learned to weld at 45, creating sculptures from forge flashings recycled from heavy industry. Her outdoor public sculptures include Tree of Life, Mitchell Boulevard Park, and Magic Grove, Enderis Park. Facing memory loss, she moved to be near family in Minneapolis, where she explored new art forms, paying particular attention to color. Memorial service 2 pm Fri., Dec. 14, Sholom West, Minneapolis; graveside blessing 11 am Mon., Dec. 17, Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, with luncheon following at Story Hill BKC.
