Solac, Dr. Raymond B. Age 98, of Hastings died Monday, November 12, 2018. Raymond was born June 8, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN to Ignatius and Agnes (Skiba) Boryczka. He served in the U.S. Army as a Technical Sergeant with Chanor Company during WWII, where he met his wife Vibeke Ostrerberg, in Denmark. His career included many years at the University of Minnesota as an Extension Veterinarian. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vibeke in 2010 and his son, Christopher. He is survived by his children, Mary Solac, Peter (Jean) Solac, Michael (Robin) Solac, Thomas Solac, Paul Solac, and Theresa (Michael) Welch; grandchildren Adele and Josephine Welch; many other relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Father Michael Barseness will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street West, Hastings, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
