Rebecca Noraine Hanson 'Noreen' Weeg

Weeg, Rebecca Noraine (Noreen) Hanson of Shoreview, MN fell asleep in the Lord September 6, 2018 at the age of 95 after a brief stay in Hospice at The Estates at Roseville, Shoreview. Funeral Service will be at Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church, Glenville, MN on September 15 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverends David Efflandt and W. Paul Weeg officiating. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the church located at the corner of Thrush Ave. (Iowa) and State Line Road, East of Northwood, IA. Burial will be at London Deer Creek Cemetery. Rebecca was born May 25, 1923 on her grandparent's farm in rural London, MN to her parents Peder and Hattie (Preston) Hanson. She was united in marriage to Rev. Warren C. Weeg whom she met while attending St. Olaf College on May 19, 1945. Rebecca is survived by her: son, W. Paul (Margaret) Weeg of North- wood, IA; daughter, Mary (Fred) Kueffer of Shoreview, MN; son, John Weeg of Shoreview, MN; brother, Paul L. Hanson of Northwood; sister, Rosine Johnson of Kent, OH; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her: husband, Warren; brother, Harold; and sister, Ruth Davidson. If desired, memorials may be given to St. Olaf College, designated for the purpose of supporting students preparing for careers in music education.
