Janeksela, Alice 'Jean' (Trimble) Jean was born in Milaca, MN on August 1, 1925 to Harry and Velma (Long) Trimble. She attended grade school and high school in Milaca and graduated in 1942. On July 9, 1949 Jean was united in marriage to Kenneth Janeksela, originally from Ely, MN. After Ken's retirement from the service in 1953 they made their home in Brooklyn Center, MN. After attending Minnesota Business School, she worked at IDS as a secretary from 1943 to 1957 when she left to start her family. Jean was then employed by Robbinsdale School District #281 from 1969 until January 1994. She spent her entire school career at Northport Elementary as a clerical para. During her children's six years at Northport, Jean was very active in the PTA where she served on the board for six years and was made a lifetime member. Jean is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Larry) Hanson; son, James Janeksela; three granddaughters, Kelly (Chris) Kozicky, Jamie Hanson, Alecia (Tim) Lahaye; two grandsons, Connor and Chase Janeksela; four greatgrandchildren, Sam and Olivia Kozicky and Carter and Vaida Lahaye; one sister, Shirley Galichia of Pittsburg, KS as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; her parents; two brothers, Keith and Paul Trimble; and one sister, Dorothy Trimble. Jean died surrounded by family on Saturday, August 11 at the age of 93. The memorial service will be Thursday, August 23 at 7:00 PM at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, MN. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Brooklyn United Methodist or the Heart Association. Her greatest joy was her family and friends and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
