Neuschwander, James Otis of Dayton, MN, entered the Gates of Heaven on Tuesday, August 14th at the age of 85. Jim was born on April 13, 1933 in Wadena, MN. He grew up farming his family's homestead farm in Verndale, MN. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting with his family and friends. In his younger years he loved playing cards and going dancing. Jim was a long standing member of the Heat & Frost Insulators Local Union 34. But most of all, Jim loved his family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had an infectious smile and kind heart and made friends with everyone he encountered. Jim is survived by the love of his life, Jan of 64 years; daughter, Cheryl (John); son, Mark (Becky); sister , Ruth; and 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN on Tuesday, August 21st. Visitation begins at 11:00 am, service at 12:00 pm, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western St., Anoka, MN 55303 or Health Partners Hospice, 8101 34th Ave. S., Bloomington, MN 55425.
