Lavone Broberg

Broberg, Lavone Lavone quietly left us four days before her 92nd birthday. She was born 8/17/1926 in Dassel, MN to Martin and Minnie Broberg. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Delores, Harriet and Janet and her brother, Wally. Lavone was the last of her generation. Lavone is survived by her beloved nephews, Dan Broberg (Susan), Marty, Nick, Danny and Caleigh; Sam Broberg (Bridgett), Alex, Tyler, and Zack; Harris Halverson (Sharon), Blake and Paige and a cadre of cousins who esteemed her as "Auntie". Lavone was proud of having graduated from the old West High in 1944 and worked for 52 years at what became Marquette Bank. She golfed and bowled, traveled and was always in style and dressed to the nines. Lavone was a loyal member of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. We will miss this genteel and kind friend. A simple celebration of her life will be at the Chapel at Lakewood Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Friday August 17 with visitation beginning at 11:30.
