Butts, Judith (Hempel) age 85 of St. Louis Park, MN, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She graduated from Minne apolis North High School and shortly after married Richard Butts whom she beared nine healthy children with. Judy came from a large family of eight children. She had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing and listening to music at the Holiday, relaxing and boating up north with her long-time friend Gus Schwartz and their many adopted rescue dogs. She is survived by her nine children: Steve (Mary), Mike (Linda), Rick, Cindy, Larry (Cindy), Pam Ott (Tom Schumacher), Roger, Vicki (Kevin) Jahr and Margie (Kurt) Hanson; 28 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Joanne and Dolores Hempel, and brother, David Hempel. Judy was preceded in death by: an infant baby boy; her parents, Sidney and Marjorie (Roth) Hempel; Gus Schwartz; daughter-in-law Cindy (Hicks) Butts; Sid and Arleen Hempel; Marjorie and John Alexander; Jack and June Hempel; Geraldine and Pat Burke; and Inga Hempel. The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, and one hour prior to the Friday service.
