Keup, Fred Age 88 of Belle Plaine, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. Memorial Mass will be 11a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 3-7p.m. on Sunday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and will continue one hour prior to Mass on Monday morning at church. Interment will be at a later date in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Fred was born on June 24, 1930 to Fred and Irene (Casey) Keup in St. Paul, MN. He grew up in Belle Plaine, and graduated from the Belle Plaine High School in 1948. He then attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated in 1952. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. Fred married Lorrie Holcombe on June 30, 1956. When their father passed away in 1968, Fred and his brother, Paul, assumed ownership of Keup Motors. They operated the Chevrolet/Buick dealership until retiring in 2003. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart and Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church. Fred was proud to be a resident of Belle Plaine, & was heavily involved in many volunteer activities within the community. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul; brother-in-law, Lloyd Schultz; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Keup. He is survived by his wife, Lorrie; children, Cheryl (Joe) Linneman of Sartell, MN, Greg (Cathy) Keup of Plymouth, MN, Steve Keup of Miami Beach, FL, and Jerry Keup of Wheaton, IL; Grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Taylor, Christina, Sean, Ryan, Erin, Megan, Sam and Isabel; great-grandchildren, Ryland and Grayson; sister, Lorraine Schultz; sister-in-law, Pat Keup; and many nieces and nephews.
