Synneva 'Sindy' (Lier) Tellekson

Tellekson, Synneva "Sindy" Lier died peace-fully on 6/18 at home (Becketwood in Minneapolis) at 83. Sindy is survived by husband, Wayne, of 57 years and children: Lisa Tellekson (Howard Amidon), Karin Tellekson, (Amy Ihlen) and Jon (Linnea) Swenson Tellekson, by grandchildren Willa and Claire Tellekson-Flash and Andi Amidon, as well as many relatives and friends. Sindy was born on May 14, 1935 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Fred and Carmen Lier. She graduated from West High in Green Bay and from St. Olaf College in 1957. She taught history and social studies in Neenah, Wisconsin and Ramsey High School in St. Paul, MN. She married the Rev. Wayne Tellekson in 1960. They lived in Minnesota and Illinois, and also taught in Tanzania. Services will be held at Grace University Lutheran Church,324 Harvard St. SE, Minneapolis, on June 23, at 1 PM. There will be visitation at the church on Friday from 5-7 PM. The family suggests memorials to St. Olaf College - the Fred G. & Carmen Lier Scholarship Fund. Parking is available in the hospital ramp.
