Martinson, Audrey Mae Age 83 Of West St. Paul. Born August 19, 1934 to Merle and Frieda Sutherland in Enfield, Minnesota. Audrey passed away on May 22 2018. Audrey went to a one-room school for her early education and graduated from Monticello High School. Audrey then attended Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Medical Technology. Audrey had a long rewarding career as medical technologist, most notably at the University of Minnesota's Heart Hospital, where she greatly enjoyed her work and colleagues. Audrey, with her husband Robert, were avid downhill and cross country skiers who also enjoyed canoeing, camping, traveling, theatre, and music, holding season tickets to the Minnesota Orchestra and the Guthrie Theater. She and her husband loved being part of the Knob Hill Ski Club and she spent many years skiing with the Tuesday Wipeouts at Afton Alps. She also enjoyed her volunteer work with the Alzheimer's Association and at Neighbors, Inc. Audrey had a great passion and skill for cooking and baking, and her countless family dinners will long be remembered. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert and survived by children Karin (Jeff), Ann, and John; sisters Carol (Harley) and Gloria (Owe); grandchildren Annika, Greta, Mara, and Max; and many dear friends. Audrey's family would like to thank Touching Hearts at Home, Fairview Hospice Care, and Pillar Hospice Care for their excellent care. The service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 6 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1400 S. Robert St., West St. Paul. Visitation one hour before the service followed by lunch afterwards.
