Hardiman, Joan L. Joan 'Donnie' Lucille Dolan was born on September 27, 1928 in Glencoe, MN. Joan grew up in St. Paul, with her sisters Margaret Keppel (Robert), Mary Delaney (Jack), and brother Ralph Dolan (Peggy). She attended St. Joseph's Academy and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Following graduation, Joan was employed by Northwest Airlines as a Flight Attendant. She moved to Seattle for NWA new SEATAC location, where upon she met and married Martin Hardiman. After the births of their five children, and their entries into school, Joan returned to work as a Social Worker at the Veterans Administration Health Care System. During her employment, she earned and achieved (2) graduate degrees, first from Seattle University with a Masters of Public Administration and then the University of Washington with a Masters of Social Work. Joan continued to work as a Masters Level Social Worker for the VA Health Care System until her retirement. Joan's true joys were her family, her Catholic faith, the Puget Sound, the Opera, playing bridge and traveling. Throughout her life she traveled the world and was always eager to visit a new country. Joan also enjoyed her annual visits to see her extended family in Minnesota. Joan is survived by her five children, Megan Bittle (Greg), Mary, Martin Jr. (Michael), Thomas (Lisa), Patrick (Amy), and grandchildren: Greg and Caitlin. Vigil Service and Rosary will be Friday April 27, 2018 at 7:00 PM and the Funeral Mass will be Saturday April 28, 2018 at 12:00 PM.
