Donna K. Cook

Cook, Donna K. age 76, Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at home. She was born January 23, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Joel and Norma (Boyle) Abbott. Donna grew up in Minneapolis and lived most of her life there before moving to Austin in 2009. She made her living as a home health aide and enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army. Donna was an avid reader. She treasured the times with family being home for the holidays. Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Ronald (Eileen) Davidson of Minneapolis, Charles Davidson of Aitken, Minnesota, Jeffrey Davidson of Minneapolis, and Norma Cook of Austin; 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Sara, Julia, Briana, Kathy, Bryan, Jennifer, Kristy, Joey; 11 great- grandchildren; siblings Mary Lou (Melvin) Lockwood of Ham Lake, Minnesota, Walter Abbott of Wisconsin, Joel Abbott of Princeton, Minnesota, Margaret (Keith) DuFoe of Litchfield, Minnesota, James (Bess) DuFoe of Florida, Melissa DuFoe of Superior, Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Cook, her son Merlin Davidson, and her brother Michael Abbott. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Salvation Army, 2727 Central Avenue NE in Minneapolis. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
