Karrys, Marian Born May 1st, 1929 into the family of Ernest & Helen Karrys. Died on March 18, 2018 in Bloomington, MN. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School, Ellsworth Junior College, and Iowa State Teachers College with a BA degree. She was 1 of 8 children. Her first job was working for her father at the Princess Cafe as a waitress during her high school and college years. After college graduation she taught mathematics in Marshalltown, IA, Racine WI and finished her teaching career in Mpls, MN. Marian was a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary. In Mpls she was an active member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church where she was involved in many volunteer projects. She enjoyed playing Bridge and was active in several clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest & Helen Karrys; brother Dino; sisters Katherine & Kalopy; brothers-in- law Ben Winslow and John Waldron. She is survived by her sisters, Maria Winslow, Stella Waldron, Betty Lillie, Anna & Steve Wafler; and many loving nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church 3450 Irving Ave. S., Minneapolis, 11 am Friday, March 23rd. Visitation one hour prior to service at church.
