Freshwater, Lane Lane A. Freshwater passed away on January 21, 2018 after a courageous 25 years battle with renal disease and cancer. A 33 year retired 3M employee whose assignments took him to Austin, TX; Chico, CA; Hutchinson, MN; Fairmont, MN; Medina, OH and many times Maplewood, MN where he started and ended his 3M career. After retiring from 3M, Lane began a second career with Atscott Mfg. where he was able to share his manufacturing management experience. He loved the people and the work energized him. Lane is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Violet; brother, Scott and infant brother, Sheldon. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Michele; children: Katheryn (David) Gettman, Kari (Christopher) Rock, and Jacob (Tiffany) Freshwater; grandchildren: Abigail and Benjamin Freshwater and Sydney, Natalie, and Kaitlyn Rock. Brothers: Gregory (Joan), Marc (Shelley), Glenn (Mary Jo) and Terry (Joanne); sister-in-law: Margaret Freshwater; aunt: Iris Schell; parents-in-law: Charles and Barbara Nadeau; brothers-in-law: Gregory and James (Mary) Nadeau; sister-in-law: Rebecca Nadeau. Also, neices, nephews, cousins and many friends. Lane enjoyed golf, traveling and woodworking. He most enjoyed being with his grandchildren and family. He is loved and will be missed by many. Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of the Assumption, 51 West 7th Street, St. Paul, MN 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
