Moore (nee Carlson), Irene Florence age 89, of Hugo and formerly Brooklyn Park passed away peacefully January 12, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family, finally succumbing to Alzheimer's disease. Preceded in death by her spouse, Robert; parents, Carl and Anna Carlson; sister, Laura Danielson. Survived by children, Peggy (Terry) O'Brien, John (Barb) and Joe (Terri); grandchildren, Meghan, Rob, Casey, Shane, Sydney and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Stevie, Oliver, Michael, Clayton and Leon; many nieces and nephews. Irene grew up on a farm outside of Cosmos, MN before graduating from Litchfield High School and attending Gustavus Adolphus College. She then moved to Minneapolis and began working for Lutheran Brotherhood. While raising her family, Irene was an active and frequent volunteer and long time member of Elim Lutheran Church of Robbinsdale, where she was one the congregations original ringers in the bell choir. The family would like to express a special thank you to the care team at St. Croix Hospice and the staff at Bickford of Hugo. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Croix Hospice.
