Thompson, Onan A. Age 93, of Edina, died Jan. 9, 2018. Graduated Starbuck High School and was immediately drafted into the Army in '43. Onan was married to Mae Thompson in '46 and moved to Minneapolis to begin his on-the-job training for a local accounting firm. Onan ended his career with Delta Dental. Avid golfer, '61 Aquatennial Commodore, and member of the Minneapolis Jaycees. Preceded in death by sister, Bette Villars; son-in-law, Perry Carver. Survived by wife, Mae; children, Cheryl Carver, Candyce Henderson, Cindee (Rick) Johnston; grandchildren, Sara Dotty, Hallory Kampmeier, Perry Lee (Kelly) Carver, Jr., MacAllister Carver & Ted (Michelle) Henderson, Tracy (Bruce) Maloney & Ben (Erinn) Johnston, Amy (Russ) Towery, Ricky (Amanda) Johnston; 9 great-grandchildren. Many thanks to all the staff at TowerLight who cared for and supported Onan during his illness. Memorial Service 11 AM Tuesday, January 16 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Ave S.
