It's not exactly the "We Are the World" of the Twin Cities music scene, but Mark Mallman concocted a fun little version of the Cure's "Friday I'm in Love" -- and even shot a music video for it -- featuring White Light Riot's Mike Schwandt, First Communion Afterparty's Carin Barno and the dorks of Koo Koo Kanga Roo. They're all performing with their bands for Mallman's New Year's Eve party at the Varsity Theater (click here for show info). Yep, the Rats will be there, too. Here's the first look at the video.
