The Wolves made their cuts on Saturday with the season opener at San Antonio just four days away and as expected, there were no surprises.
They waived training-camp invitees Amile Jefferson and Melo Trimble and they cut veteran forward Shawne Williams as well, just one day after they signed him.
They did so to give the Wolves' new Iowa team Williams' G-League rights.
Jefferson and Trimble probably will end up in Iowa as well.
Saturday's moves leaves former D League wing Marcus Georges-Hunt the 14th player on the 15-man NBA roster, unless the Wolves make a trade or find a player on the waiver wire.
Tom Thibodeau has said he wants to leave the 15th roster spot open to give the team future flexibility.
