With CJ Wilson on the mound tonight, Twins manger Ron Gardenhire is starting Chris Parmelee in right field instead of the struggling Oswaldo Arcia. Arcia's slump is now 2-for-43 for a .047 batting average and .070 slugging percentage. Arcia spent extra time in the batting cage today with hitting coach Tom Brunansky - once again - in an effort to get straightened out.

``We're trying to figure out what's the right path to take with this young man," Gardenhire said.

Don't think that means the Twins are seriously considering sending him down yet. Gardenhire feels Arcia can get it turned around up here.

The Twins signed second round pick Nick Burdi, the flame-throwing closer from the University of Louisville. Burdi will receive a signing bonus of $1.218,800, which is exactly the league's recommendation for that selection. The Twins also have signed 11th round pick Tanner English, a outfielder from the University of South Carolina. The Twins have now signed 28 of their 40 picks.

the Twins are going for a season-high fifth straight win, their longest winning streak since April of last season. But CJ . Wilson is 4-3 with a 4.25 ERA against the Twins in his career.
