MIAMI — Forecasters say Tropical Storm Dorian is moving across the eastern Atlantic and remains far from land.
The storm's maximum sustained winds late Wednesday were near 50 mph (85 kph). The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says it is moving west-northwest across the Atlantic at 20 mph (32 kph).
The storm is centered about 615 miles (990 kilometers) west of the Cape Verde Islands, off the coast of west Africa. There are no land threats, and little change in strength is expected over the next two days.
