If you were wondering whether Kevin Love can continue to hold the Wolves hostage even while he's still with the team, look no further than a report from Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski:

Cleveland's pursuit of Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star forward Kevin Love – which included a package centered on the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft – has sputtered because of Love's warning he'd never sign an extension with the Cavaliers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

There was no deal structure fully in place, but the Cavaliers had been fiercely determined to secure Love in a trade package, sources said.

A package including the No. 1 overall pick would have been mighty nice. But it's a reminder that the Wolves not only have to find the best trade possible, but also have to make it happen with a team with whom Love is willing to stay long-term.
