Johnson, Nevin Warren 58, of Bloomington, MN and formerly of McGregor, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis. Nevin was born January 22, 1959 in Aitkin, Minnesota to Warren and Regina Johnson. He graduated from McGregor High School in 1977. He served nine years in the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Sergent. Nevin was a 30 year employee of the VA Medical Center, most recently as a Safety Technician. He was a proud member of the Bloomington Fire Department for over 20 years. He spent his entire adult life protecting others. His most prized possession was his Daughter Rosie. Nevin was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Regina Johnson, and infant sister, Anne. He is survived by his daughter Isabella Rose ("Rosie"). Brothers: Tim Johnson (Debbie) of Cook, MN and Ted Johnson (Karen) of Inver Grove Hts, MN. Nephews: Jacob Johnson of Staunton, VA, Nick Johnson of Inver Grove Hts, MN. Nieces: Kendra Johnson and Bailey Johnson both of Cook, MN. Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 5-7pm at the Sorensen-Root Funeral Home in McGregor. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 9, 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor, with visitation one hour prior to the service. srtfuneral.com
