Berger, Stephen Richard age 44 of Shorewood. It is with great sad- ness that the family of Stephen Richard Berger announces his passing on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Steve was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his children Hannah, age 15, Harrison, age 12, and Harlow, age 9, along with his parents Richard and Mary Berger, sister, Christine (Berger) Moore, brother-in-law Mark Moore, niece Julia and nephew Nathaniel. Steve made an indelible mark on all those he met, and will be missed greatly by his greater family and the numerous friends who were part of his life. He loved life to the fullest, filling his time surrounded by those he loved and cherished. Born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Steve was a graduate of Wauwatosa West High School, where he excelled in basketball. He furthered his education and sports career at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, graduating in 1995. Upon graduation, Steve made Minnesota his home. After working for several successful companies, Steve found his true work passion, joining EFS Advisors in 2007, where he was a Financial Advisor. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, beginning at 1 p.m., at Cross View Lutheran Church, 6645 McCauley Trail West, Edina, Minnesota (952-941-1094). While the family is deeply touched by the outpouring of support in this difficult time, they kindly request the attendance of only family and close friends. A second service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at First Congregational Church, 1511 Church Street, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m., with services starting at 1 p.m. Friends and family will join afterward. A memorial fund has been created for Steve's family.
