Sheehan, Phyllis Ann (Gans) age 83, of Edina, Minnesota. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Donald. Phyllis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her five children, their spouses, and her grandchildren: Ann Sheehan; Jean Sheehan (Alisa Madson, Monica Olson [Corey], Drew Madson); Donald Sheehan (Erin Scully; Brynn and Daniel); Paula Sheehan (Mike Hoole; Hannah); and Tim Sheehan (Chris Naylor; Ryan and Matthew); and by many other family members and friends. Phyllis was born to Robert and Marcella Gans in St. Cloud, Minnesota, in 1930. She will be remembered as a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, volunteer, and friend. She performed her worldly duties with care, love, and grace. She would most want to be remembered for carrying the torch our father handed to her at the time of his death: to keep serving in Haiti. Phyllis's legacy includes a home for dying women and a thriving school outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, for the poorest of the poor. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 11:00 a.m. at the Annunciation Church, 509 W. 54th St., Minneapolis. Visitation to precede Mass at 10:00 a.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mission Haiti, P.O. Box 19401, Minneapolis, MN, 55419-0401.
