Compliance check. A gas station employee in the 1600 block of Snelling Avenue was cited for selling tobacco to an underage customer.

Theft. A motor scooter was stolen from the 13500 block of Jefferson Street NE.

Suspicious activity. A dead cat was found inside a box with the sign "Free cat," on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of 150th Street. Public Works employees removed the box and cat.

AUG. 14

Suspicious activity. A note with the message "Don't look at my boyfriend" was found taped to a vehicle in the 13000 block of Europa Court.

LAKELAND

AUG. 18

Suspicious activity. A juvenile asked a homeowner in the 900 block of Saint Croix Trail if he could jump on his trampoline. When he was refused, he offered to buy the trampoline. When the homeowner told him no, he left a fake phone number in case he changed his mind and rode off with another juvenile on their scooters.

Burglary. Someone smashed through the front door of a gas station in the 2400 block of Larpenteur Avenue and took tobacco products and cash.

Burglary. Salon products valued at $2,000 were stolen from Skye Salon, 2402 County Road I.

NEW BRIGHTON

AUG. 12

Theft. Brass valued at $2,700 was taken from a trailer parked in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.

Criminal damage to property. A dinner plate was thrown at a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of 3rd Street.

Tobacco violation. A 59-year-old man was cited for selling cigarettes to a minor after a tobacco compliance check was completed at Murphy's Service Center, 3501 29th Av. NE.

Tobacco violation. A 21-year-old man was cited for selling cigarettes to a minor after a tobacco compliance check was completed at Super America, 3259 Stinson Blvd.

WOODBURY

AUG. 13

Drone complaint. Police received a report of a drone flying over homes in the area of Crackleberry Trail. An officer checked the area but was unable to spot a drone or anyone operating one.

AUG. 16

Suspicious activity. Someone placed lawn chairs on top of a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 1600 block of Lamplight Drive.
