It wasn't the record-setting matchup of a year ago, but it still packed plenty of drama.

Senior running back Tyrell Martin ran 102 yards and scored four TDs, three in the final 10 minutes, 32 seconds, as Augsburg overcame a 14-point fourth quarter deficit to beat Bethel 49-42 in the MIAC regular-season finale for both teams. He scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 7-yard run with 4:19 left.

A year ago, the Auggies edged the Royals 62-61 on a snowy field, breaking numerous offensive records. The two teams combined for 963 yards of offense in this year's finale.

Senior quarterback Ayrton Scott completed 18 of 25 passes for 272 yards and ran for 167 yards on 22 attempts for the Auggies.

St. Thomas 66, Gustavus 9: The No. 4 Tommies concluded a perfect regular season by thumping the Gusties. Junior running back Jordan Roberts carried the ball 32 times for 230 yards and three TDs. Starting senior quarterback John Gould added two TDs on the ground and one through the air. He completed 13 of 18 passes for 229 yards. The Tommies (10-0), who compiled 715 yards of offense, won the conference championship as well as the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs.

St. John's 49, St. Olaf 7: Senior running back Sam Sura had his fourth four-touchdown game of the season, leading the No. 10 Johnnies past the Oles. The conference's leading ground gainer ran for 181 yards on 20 carries. The Johnnies finished the regular season with an overall record of 9-1 and hope to be one of the six teams who receive an at-large bid to the 32-team playoff field.

Hamline 19, Carleton 7: The Pipers used a solid defensive effort to finish their second consecutive campaign with four wins, knocking off the Knights. Junior defensive back Zach Schwalbach led the defensive unit with 11 tackles, nine solo, and forced a fumble.
