The death of a man who was found unconscious in a Bloomington hotel swimming pool Friday night is being investigated as an apparent drowning.
According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, emergency personnel responded to a 911 call that an unconscious man was found in the pool at the DoubleTree hotel at 7800 Normandale Blvd. at 8:40 p.m.
First responders administered medical care and took the man to a hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead early Saturday.
His name and the exact cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County medical examiner after an autopsy. The Sheriff's Office and Bloomington police continue to investigate.
