The Lynx clinched the WNBA Finals Championship Wednesday night -- and Thursday evening the team will celebrate that title with a parade ending at Williams Arena.

It was there that the Lynx defeated the Sparks, 85-76, in Game 5 of the Finals in a thrilling victory that avenged last season's heartbreaking defeat in the final game.

This time, riding the dominance of league and Finals MVP Sylvia Fowles, and the energy and passion of local favorite Lindsay Whalen, the Lynx captured the fourth championship in the franchise's history.

PARADE DETAILS:

When: Thursday, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Route will begin on the corner of 12th Ave. S.E. and University Ave. and will proceed on University Ave. toward Williams Arena. The procession will end as it enters the doors of Williams Arena.

The parade will end at Williams Arena, where the team will host what can be best described as one, big party at 7:15 p.m.
