Saturday night's start of the Gophers-Michigan State game at TCF Bank Stadium has been delayed because of a lightning strike in the area. Fans were instructed to move to the concourse. The delay came just as the marching band was to start the national anthem.
Protocol is to wait 30 minutes after the last lightning strike before restarting a game.
The delay is the second in as many weeks for the Gophers, whose game at Purdue last week was delayed 88 minutes because of a thunderstorm.
