Fish cleaning mat
Deer Dummy, the Maple Lake, Minn., company that developed the portable cutting mat that guides deer hunters step-by-step through butchering, unveiled a similarly handy fish cleaning mat last weekend at Game Fair. Unroll it on a truck tailgate, in a fish house, in a boat or on shore, the full-color mat is impermeable and won't dull knives. It measures 20x36 inches, and it shows anglers how to clean most freshwater fish, including northern pike Y-bone removal. It costs $29.99, and is available at retailers or deerdummy.com.
