Minnesota Duluth (28-6-7): After two overtime victories in the NCAA West Regional in Fargo, the Bulldogs beat Harvard 2-1 in their Frozen Four semifinal Thursday when Alex Iafallo scored with 26.6 seconds left. It was Iafallo's 20th goal and 50th point of the season, both team highs. Freshman Hunter Miska made 39 saves and improved to 28-4-4. UMD, 16-1-3 in its past 20 games, finished second both in the NCHC and in the Pairwise rankings to Denver. The Bulldogs, whose only NCAA title came in 2011, are 5-3 in five Frozen Fours, including a loss to Denver in the 2004 semifinals.

Denver (32-7-4): The top-seeded and top-ranked Pioneers are aiming for their eighth NCAA title and first since winning back-to-back in 2004 and '05. Only North Dakota (eight) and Michigan (nine) have more titles. Denver lost 1-0 to North Dakota in the NCHC tournament semifinals but has since outscored its NCAA tournament opponents 17-6, including a 6-1 rout of Notre Dame on Thursday. Denver's top three scorers are underclassmen: sophomore Troy Terry and freshman Henrik Borgstrom each have 43 points, while sophomore Dylan Gambrell has 41.
