Versed in the music of early Russia, Poland and Bohemia? I didn't think so. But thanks to the Rose Ensemble, you don't have to learn Old Church Slavonic and sift through dusty archives to get up to speed in this arresting repertoire. The "Slavic Wonders" program mingles medieval chants and ecstatic hymns with 12-part baroque motets and tales of folk heroes. And if you relish incongruity, consider that this concert is presented in Minneapolis' Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church.
- 8 p.m. Fri.
- 924 E. 21st St., Mpls.
- $25 for general admission
