IF YOU GO
Winter dog sled trips into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness can be to fish or simply to travel. Day trips and overnight camping trips can be booked.
Generally, teenagers and up run their own dog teams. Younger children can ride in sleds.
The northern pike season ended Thursday. But lake trout fishing in the Boundary Waters extends through March, or as long as spring travel conditions permit. Excellent conditions exist now in the BWCA.
Stu McEntyre and White Wolf Sled Dog Trips can be contacted at www.
