Looking to find some holiday magic? Century College will host its annual Holiday Chemistry Magic Show at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the West Campus Theatre.

Attendees can expect a colorful, noisy and funny show featuring Century chemistry Professors Wayne Haag, David Blackburn and Teresa Jentzsch.

In previous shows, the professors have exploded balloons, launched pop bottles, electrified a pickle, frozen a banana and set fire to bubbles. Loud music and dramatic lighting changes add to the experience.

The professors will perform about two dozen activities as they mix chemical elements in colorful, fiery, noisy, bubbly and sometime explosive ways.

Many of Haag's former students became senior scientists at major corporations such as 3M and some assist with the production, Century College said.

The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to come early because seating is limited.
