Colorado Station, a family-friendly steakhouse, recently had its official grand opening in Burnsville.

The restaurant at 13050 Aldrich Av. S. features burgers, ribs and chicken in addition to steaks and also has a children's menu. The restaurant also has about 20 beers on tap.

Lakeville, Eagan report permits

Lakeville has issued building permits with a total valuation of $17.2 million through February, down from the same two-month period in 2013.

The city issued commercial and industrial permits valued at $1.5 million through February of this year, compared with $4.7 million during the same period last year. Lakeville also issued permits for 43 single-family homes with a total valuation of $14.3 million, up slightly from 41 single-family home permits valued at $13.1 million through February of 2013. This year's home permit total was the highest in the metro area based on figures from the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.

Meanwhile, Eagan reported seven single-family home permits valued at $1.7 million through the end of February, vs. 16 permits valued at $6.1 million for the same period in 2013. The city issued no permits for new commercial construction during the two-month period either this year or last year.

West St. Paul apartments sold

Aspen Ridge Apartments, a 12-unit rental complex in West St. Paul, recently changed hands.

A Minneapolis-based business entity recently paid $800,000 for the 26-year-old property at 958 S. Robert St., according to documents filed with the Minnesota Department of Revenue. The seller was an investors' group based in Mahtomedi.

Dance school building new facility

Ballet Royale is constructing a new 8,600-square-foot dance studio on Kenrick Avenue just south of County Road 46. The dance school's existing location is on Kenyon Avenue south of the county road.

The city of Lakeville recently reported that the new studio is in the early stages of construction and should be completed this summer.

The school was founded and is directed by former professional ballet dancers Denise and Rick Vogt. It offers a variety of classes and programs levels for children and adults. It also offers classes in Pilates and yoga. Ballet Royale also is the official home of the semiprofessional, nonprofit dance company Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota.
