Hopkins Public Schools is hosting a free school board pre-filing workshop for anyone who’s interested in running. It’s set for Tuesday, July 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Eisenhower Community Center.

This year, three school board members are up for re-election: Susan Wootten, Betsy Anderson and Warren Goodroad.

To be eligible, candidates must be at least 21 and must be an eligible voter and a resident who has lived in the school district for at least 30 days.

Those interested can file at Hopkins Public Schools’ district office at 1001 Hwy. 7 in Hopkins between July 30 and Aug. 13. There is a $2 filing fee. The deadline to withdraw is Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. Call 952-988- 4001 for additional information.
