A 27-year-old woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to one felony count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct accusing her of performing a sex act on a 16-year-old student she supervised as a teacher's aide at Shakopee Junior High School.

Dakota County District Judge Erica MacDonald won't officially accept the plea agreement or a sentencing recommendation until Michelle R. Chlan appears for sentencing on Feb. 21.

Chlan (pronounced "Cline") had been charged with three felony counts of criminal sexual conduct. A conviction likely precludes her from ever working in a school again.

Authorities said she performed oral sex on the student three times between June 2009 and July 2010. Shakopee police notified Burnsville police last March about the incidents, which occurred in Burnsville and involved a student Chlan had met in class.

The teenager reported that Chlan gave him a ride home once because he couldn't reach his mother. Chlan gave him her phone number in case he needed a ride in the future. He began calling her for rides to his friends' houses, a festival in Mankato and a mall.

Sometime in the summer of 2009, the student told police, Chlan performed oral sex on him behind a department store in Burnsville, just off Hwy. 42, and two more times outside a different Burnsville business. Chlan initially denied the accusation, but later admitted that the boy was telling the truth.
