Debris. Miscellaneous items including several tires, two vacuums and a suitcase were left on Indahl Avenue south of 89th Street. A man whose name was on paperwork among the debris denied dumping the items.
Missing trampoline. A trampoline was reported missing from a yard in the 2000 block of Legion Lane Circle. The owner was not sure if it had blown away in a storm or was stolen.
Suspicious activity. Someone reported two groups of motorcyclists pulling into Country Sun Farms & Greenhouses, 11211 N. 60th St. Police made contact with a group of about 10 to 15 motorcyclists there and were told one of their bikes had broken down and they were waiting for a tow.
Explosion/suspicious situation. Police were called to an explosion in the area of Kimbro Avenue and 47th Street. They made contact with a male who admitted to putting an M80 under a pail. He conceded it was “a dumb thing to do” and agreed to clean up the mess.
Suspicious activity. Two people were reportedly sitting at one of the pumps for an extended period of time at Lake Elmo Oil Co. gas station, 11127 Stillwater Blvd. An officer made contact with the pair, who explained they were “having a tough day” and pulled over to calm down.
MARINE ON ST. CROIX
Loose peacocks. Police received a report of three peacocks walking down the road in the area of 3rd Street and St. Croix Trail. The birds were gone by the time police arrived.
Bicycle/vehicle accident. A juvenile cyclist rode out of a driveway and struck a vehicle in the 6600 block of Upper 20th Street. The juvenile was not hurt. There was minor damage to the driver’s door of the vehicle.
Disturbance. A resident of the 2400 block of Granada Avenue came to the police station to complain about a neighbor leaving grass clippings on the shoulder of the road after mowing. The complainant said it was an ongoing issue. Police contacted the neighbor, who said he had lived there for more than 20 years and never had a problem leaving some grass clippings on the shoulder of the road. Nevertheless, he agreed to clean up the clippings when police asked.
Disturbance. An officer was dispatched to the 6200 block of 7th Street at approximately 11 p.m. on a report of three people, possibly intoxicated, who were yelling at each other. Police located the group, who said they were having a political debate. The officer advised them to have a quieter debate.
Suspicious activity. A woman in the 300 block of Stewart Road told police someone in a four-door white car threw a smoke bomb up her driveway while she and her children were standing there.
Animal concern. Police received a call from someone worried about six ducklings stuck in a sewer drain near Woodbury Middle School, 1425 School Drive. Two officers were able to rescue the baby ducks from the sewer and return them to their mother, who was nearby.
Theft. A juvenile in the 10000 block of Knollwood Lane reported his skateboard had been stolen and that he suspected another juvenile took it. The suspect told police she found it in the street and was more than willing to return it.
