Lino Lakes Police Sgt. Chris Bragelman, 37, of North Branch, died early Sunday morning at a bar and grill in Hugo.
The Washington County Sheriff received a call for medical attention at the Blue Heron Grill at 2:18 a.m.
The emergency crew arrived to find Bragelman unresponsive with no obvious cause of death. Officials said there was no concern for public safety.
Bragelman was off-duty at the time, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the incident.
