7:50 a.m. update: Trudging along in may spots

A number of eastbound routes are dragging and perhaps it's due to the lower angle of the sun. That includes eastbound Hwy. 212 from Hwy. 101 over to I-494 in Eden Prairie.

Things are very slow on eastbound 494 from Hwy. 212 to 35W and on eastbound 394 from Hwy. 169 to downtown Minneapolis.

A crash on northbound 35W at Cliff Road is the reason for the delay from County Road 42 up to Black Dog Road.

In the east metro, it's an absolute mess on westbound 94 from the St. Croix River bridge to County Road 21. That is where we have a dandy of a crash taking out the left lane.  Ahead, it's a 24-minute roll into downtown St. Paul.

Look for traffic to sputter on I-494 in both directions from Hardman Avenue to Bailey Road over the Wakota Bridge.

All directions of I-94 and 35W in the downtown Minneapolis area are sluggish while travel times on southbound 35W from Lexington Avenue to downtown Minneapolis are on the rise. It was 30 minutes at last check.
