Good morning, commuters!

It's another frigid morning and another day when black ice could form on metro area highways and freeways. On Tuesday, black ice was likely the cause of crash in which a driver hit the side of a freeway overpass, flipped over the guard rail and landed on the top of a holding pond 70 feet below. The driver was not seriously injured. MnDOT posted a video of it

Temperatures are around minus 7, which is right on the border as to when black ice can form, so let's hope it is too warm for that.

At this hour, we have no accidents or incidents on the roads.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
