From my colleague Lora Pabst:
A Mounds View couple said they finally have their credit score restored after a mistake by Bank of America caused it to drop 150 points. In August, Whistleblower reported that Nick and Jamie Jasper were mistakenly signed up for a trial mortgage modification after they called to inquire about the program.
They never approved a modification and continued making their full mortgage payments, but Bank of America reported them to the credit bureaus as making partial mortgage payments. The Jaspers also complained to Attorney General Lori Swanson and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Late last month, the couple finally got a letter from the bank and a copy of their credit report showing the problem had been fixed.
